Recreational Bowlers Support American Heart Association

Wilkes-Barre --- As part of their senior completion project, Christiana Gebhardt and Erica Morgan, students from Dallas High School, recently held an event designed to raise funds and awareness for the American Heart Association through bowling. Over 200 games were bowled during "Strike Out Heart Disease" with $1 from each game’s cost being donated to the cause. The event was held at Chacko's Family Bowling Center, 195 N. Wilkes-Barre Blvd., Wilkes-Barre.

The event’s fundraising efforts totaled over $200 for the American Heart Association. These funds will be donated to the local chapter and will be used in research, education, patient services, and rehabilitation services to help the fight against heart disease and stroke.
