Bantam Singles & Doubles – A separate squad will be held. Bowlers must enter both events. Two games will be bowled for singles and two for doubles all in the same squad. There is no advancement. Winners will be declared association tournament champs. Anyone wanting a chance to advance must enter the three game events. There will be 1 division in doubles and 2 in singles boys and girls.
Tournament Rules 1. All USBC Youth members participating in certified leagues in bowling centers located within the geographic boundaries of the Wyoming Valley Association are permitted to bowl in this tournament.
2. Bowlers will use their highest average as of January 1, 2012 (minimum of 8 games). Bowlers with no average as of January 1, 2012 must use their highest average as of the date they are scheduled to bowl (8 games minimum.) If no proof of average is submitted, an assigned average of 220 shall be used.
3. Tournament Divisions Based on Combined Bowlers Averages: Team Event Class A Class B Class C 4 on a Team 611 & Above 501 - 610 500 & Below . Doubles Class A Class B Class C Any two bowlers 321 & Above 261 – 320 260 & Below
Singles & All Events Class A Class B Class C Girls 150 & Above 121 – 149 120 & Below Boys 170 & Above 135 – 169 134 & Below
4. Bantam Singles & Doubles – A separate squad will be held. Bowlers must enter both events. Two games will be bowled for singles and two for doubles all in the same squad. There is no advancement. 5. Bowlers must bowl in the order listed on the entry form.
6. Multiple Entry – A bowler may compete twice in team event, at least two (2) members of the team must change. Multiple participation is not permitted in doubles, singles or all events. First scores bowled in team will count for all events.
7. Awards – First place champions will be declared in each events and division for both handicap and scratch. Winners will receive a paid entry to the state tournament. All 1st place ties will advance. Awards will be awarded in a 1 to 10 ratio. A plaque will be awarded to the all events winner in each division.
8. Handicap for each event shall be based on 100% of the difference between the entering average and the top of the class. For the top average divisions, handicap will be based on the following. Team Event: 880, Doubles, 440, Singles and All Events: 220. Handicap will be computed on 3 game series, except for Bantam singles & doubles...
9. All bowlers must be checked in ½ hour before scheduled time to bowl. In the event a bowler is missing when practice begins the coach will determine if a substitution should be made and when.
10. Only bowlers, lane monitors and tournament officials will be permitted in the immediate bowling area.
11. The use of any type of tobacco products and the playing of coin operated machines and use of cell phones by bowlers will be prohibited during the tournament.
12. This tournament entry and rules must be posted in each bowling center. Violation of any tournament rule will result with an automatic disqualification, regardless if the violation was caused by the bowlers or league official.
13. All matters not covered by these rules and regulations shall be governed by U.S.B.C.
